bakonismeatcandy asked: how does your personality effect the way you play Gigi?

I definitely think I brought a little more spunk and energy to Gigi than how she was portrayed in other adaptations. Also, I am extremely independent and I always go after what I want….I think I brought some of that to her as well.

bleubex asked: Are you wearing your own wardrobe for Welcome to Sanditon or is ModCloth sponsoring the ladies' wardrobe? Also, your dress in "Awkward" was gorgeous, can you tell me what brand that one is?

The Sanditon episodes are all clothes provided by ModCloth except for one episode I believe… super cute right! Jewelry and accessories are all my own.

The dress is Awkward is a brand called Potter’s Pot.

morglea asked: I just graduated with my BA in Theatre Arts. I'm taking a year or two off before I decide what my next choice is, but I'm curious what your input is on MA, MFA, and conservatory programs. What led you to choose the training you did, and in what ways did it benefit you? Thank you!

First of all CONGRATULATIONS on your BA!

I think MA, MFA, and conservatory programs are wonderful. I wish I would have gone to a performing arts high school and then continued on to some sort of conservatory program. Some people are scholastic people, some people are artist, and some are both… I had a hard time in school sticking to the normal curriculum  of a public high school. I wish I would have gone to a school where I could have studied subjects and taken classes more geared to what I wanted to do with the rest of my life… which is Acting and the arts. The more training and education you can gain is always a positive thing.

I had a great opportunity to move to LA when I was 18 and decided instead of going to collage to study my butt off in acting classes. The classes I have taken and teachers I have worked with have really taken me from ballerina to actress. I do however wish I would have started my training in acting as early as I started my training in dance.

temporalgabby asked: Hi Allison! How is the experience of doing a project with a fan-base already formed ? ( and now is the part where I tell you how awesomesauce and amazeballs you are)

It’s amazing and scary at the same time. There is a lot of expectations when you are not only coming in later in a series that has been around for a while, but also playing an adaptation of someone is exciting/terrifying. You don’t want to let any of the fans down with your “version” of one of their favorite characters, but at the same time it was exciting to bring my own voice to her. Luckily the LBD fan-base is just the best. Pretty much everyone has been so positive and welcoming and I have absolutely loved every second of this experience.
